With a vast network of over 1200 schools under its management, the KVS has streamlined the registration procedure by implementing a single admission portal. It is important to note that this exclusive portal is specifically designated for class 1 students only. For students seeking admission from classes 2 to 10, it is necessary to directly contact the respective school administrative office. If there are available vacancies in the school for class 2, the admission process will be facilitated through offline mode. The school administration will announce a specific date for the issuance of application forms for class 2. However, it is important to understand that the availability of vacancies in class 2 at Kendriya Vidyalaya cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, it is recommended to reach out to the principal of your nearest Kendriya Vidyalaya school for further guidance and assistance about your specific requirements.
Age Eligibility for Class 10 in KVS
If your child falls within the age range of 14 to 16 years, you may meet the eligibility requirements to apply for admission to class 2 at KV School. Please note that the age of the child will be determined as of April 1, 2024. For children born between April 1, 2010, and April 1, 2008, they meet the age criteria to be eligible for admission to class 1 at KV School.
Same Age Criteria for Class 3 and 4 in KVS Admission
KVS Admission Implements Same Age Criteria for Class 3 and 4: Following the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2022, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has decided to enforce a minimum age requirement for the academic year 2022-23. This change entails raising the minimum age for admission to Class 1 from 5 years to 6 years. As a result, the KVS admission portal has been programmed to prevent the processing of applications for children below the age of 6. This implementation has presented challenges for the KVS, leading to a writ petition being filed by some parents who oppose the new age restriction. Consequently, the KVS has revised the admission schedule on two occasions and extended the application deadline for prospective Class 1 students. The duration of the admission process has been extended beyond one month, following the guidance of the Delhi High Court. The revised regulations now dictate that the minimum age for admission to Class 2 will also be 6 years in the academic year 2022-23. Subsequently, for the academic year 2023-24, the minimum age for admission to Class 2 and Class 3 will be set at 7 years. Furthermore, in the academic year 2024-25, both Class 3 and Class 10 will require a minimum age of 8 years for admission.
Offline Application for Class 10 in KVS
An application for Class 10 admission at KVS can be obtained by contacting the administrative office of your nearest KV school. In the event of available vacancies, the office will provide you with the necessary application form. Alternatively, the application form may also be accessible for download on the official website. Please ensure to carefully complete the form according to the provided instructions and submit it to the school office.

KVS Class 10 Admission List 2024-25
Admission tests will not be administered for admission to class 2, and acceptance will be granted through a Priority Category system. If the number of applications exceeds the available seats, a lottery system will be implemented within each category, including the single girl child quota. Once the selection process is complete, candidates will be notified via either their mobile phone or email address to get in touch with the principal for further instructions and next steps.
