KVS Class 1 Admission Age Eligibility Calculator 2024-25
In accordance with the guidelines set forth by the ‘New Education Policy,’ the Central Government has implemented revised age criteria for admission into class 1 across all Kendriya Vidyalaya schools for the academic year 2022-23. Applicants must meet the requirement of being a minimum of 6 years old and a maximum of 8 years old to be eligible for enrollment in class 1 at KV schools. To assist parents in determining their child’s eligibility based on their date of birth, we have developed a complimentary online tool. By utilizing this tool, parents can easily identify the appropriate academic year in which their child can register in the KVS admission portal.

Check Age Eligibility for Class 1 in KVS Admission
Children who have reached the age of 6 by April 1, 2023 are qualified to apply for admission into a Kendriya Vidyalaya school. Those born between April 1, 2018 and April 1, 2016 may submit an application for class one enrollment. It is essential that parents enter the accurate date of birth during the signup process as it should not be altered in any way. The minimum age requirement is 6 years old as of April 1st, 2024 with a two-year upper age limit concession provided to those classified as “Differently Abled” applicants. Therefore, children without this classification must have been born between April 1st 2016 and April 1st 2018 while those with it must have been born between 2014 and 2018 to be eligible for registration. If the entered date does not fit within these parameters then signing up will not be permitted in KVS admission portal (kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in).
Special Provision for Those DoB 1st April in KVS Admission 2024
Applicants who were born on April 1st are eligible for admission to the 2024-25 academic year, even if they have not yet reached the age of six by April 31st. For instance, if your child was born on 4/1/2018, he or she would qualify for this current academic year. Children who are born between April 1, 2016, and March 31, 2018, are eligible for admission to class 1 in KVS. Furthermore, only those individuals with a birthdate of April 1, 2018, will be accepted into the KVS admissions portal under the exemption rule.
