RTE Admission Last Date in Tamil Nadu 2024-25
According to the Right to Education Act and Free Compulsory Education for Children Act, one-fourth of the seats in private schools are to be allocated for children from backward and economically disadvantaged groups. In the year 2023-2024, parents from such sectors can submit applications through rte.tnschool.gov.in from the 20th of April to the 18th of May (anticipated dates) for enrolment in the first level of school (LKG or Class I).
Submissions for LKG and Class I will be due by 18.05.2023 (Tentative Date). On 21.05.2023 (Assumption only!), the approved requests and explanations for denial will be posted on the school’s website and bulletin board at 5:00 PM. For LKG, the candidates should have been born between 01-08-2019 to 31-07-2020, and for Class I, the applicants should have been born between 01-08-2017 to 31-07-2018. When filing either online or in person, documents such as student photograph, birth certificate, parent ID card, address proof, caste certificate, and income certificate must be presented free of charge at the offices of the Chief Education Officer or District Education Officer. If more applications are received than spaces available, a random draw will take place on 23.05.2022 and the list of the names of the chosen children will be published on the website/notice board 24th May 2023 (Expected). These children must be enrolled by 29th May 2023 (Expected).
How To Apply Online RTE Admission 2024-25 in Tamil Nadu
If parents or guardians want to get their kids admitted to RTE Schools in Tamil Nadu in 2023, they must follow the steps listed to apply online. Initially, they must visit the RTE TN admission portal via the link provided or click the official admission portal link rte.tnschools.gov.in.
After clicking on the RTE Online Admission portal, you must register with their ID and password, and then click on the application form. All the details asked in the form must be filled in, and the necessary documents must be uploaded. Finally, they must click on the submit button and take a printout of the application for future reference.
Deadlines for Admission under Tamil Nadu RTE 2023
Educational institutions must provide information about the number of students that can be accepted in the entry-level classes and make a separate register for one-fourth of this intake. This is to be announced soon. Additionally, the notice board and website should show details of the 25% of intakes. The start date and end date of the online application process will also be declared soon. Furthermore, the names of those who are eligible for admission and those who are rejected, along with the reason for the rejection, will be updated soon. In the event that random selection is necessary, the details of this will be issued soon. The names of those chosen for admission, along with the application numbers, should be displayed on the notice board and website.
TN RTE Admission Rules 2024-25
The rules for LKG and Class 1 admissions under TN RTE Rules 2011 are that the total and 25% of students strength should be displayed in the Notice Board and advertised in local newspapers. Parents can apply online in the official admission portal of rte.tnschoolsgov.in for the admission. The acknowledgement receipt should be provided to the applicant.
