7th Pay Commission 1st Month Salary Calculator Tool

April 20, 2023 by teutdc Leave a Comment

In India, many young people are inclined towards securing government positions that align with their educational qualifications. The availability of both state and central government jobs is highly coveted, and numerous applications are submitted for every 1000 vacancies. The primary reason for this inclination is the financial stability and security that comes with a government job. Indian government employees receive a decent monthly income, with an annual salary increase triple their monthly income, and the added benefit of periodic pay commission reviews held once a decade to evaluate their compensation and benefits. These factors contribute to the desire for government jobs among young job seekers in India. An online tool called the TEUT Calculator has been developed to assist individuals in evaluating their options and calculating their estimated initial monthly income for various central government positions. The tool also features a search function that allows users to select their preferred state and city from a drop-down menu.

This compendium of pay rates has been put into effect since January 1st, 2016 by the 7th Pay Commission and will be effective until the next upcoming 8th Pay Commission is put into place. Candidates who are interested in applying for available positions will be informed of the pay level, basic salary, and any additional allowances that come along with each listed post in the recruitment advertisement. It is typically understood by those who are interested in applying for these posts what the pay level and respective basic salary will be.

Pay Matrix Level Basic Salary

As per the 7th pay commission recommendations, central government employees at pay level 1 (1800 Grade Pay) are entitled to a basic salary of Rs. 18000. For pay level 6 (4200 Grade Pay), the commission recommended a basic salary of Rs. 35400, with multiple stages in the Pay Matrix Level 6 to 9 segment (PB II Grade Pay 4200 to 5400). Promoted employees who shifted from Grade Pay 2800 to GP 4200 prior to 2016 received additional perks. Pay level 10 (with a 5400 Grade Pay) has a standard pay rate of Rs. 56100 for central government workers, as per the commission’s recommendations. If you belong to pay level 13 (8700 Grade Pay), you can expect a basic salary of Rs. 123100, as recommended by the commission.

First Month Govt Pay Scale Calculator

To calculate the salary for varying positions and levels in the Central government, an online calculator is available for user convenience. Vacant posts are announced through official notifications by the Ministry or Department of the Central government, along with specific age and educational qualifications for eligible Indian applicants, as well as the number of vacancies and corresponding basic salaries for each position. Prospective applicants often inquire about their total and take-home pay for their desired role. Depending on the classification of the city where they work, two employees with the same basic salary in Central government services may have different total salaries due to variations in their HRA and transport allowance. The determination of an individual’s salary package in Central government services heavily relies on their assigned office location.

Salary Structure in Central Govt after 7th CPC

Following the implementation of the 7th pay commission, a significant change occurred in the salary framework for central government employees. The system of grade pay was eliminated, and a new pay structure known as the Pay Matrix Table was introduced for all levels and positions. This table includes the base salary and maximum annual increment for a total of 40 years. Additionally, to increase transparency, there is a detailed explanation of the salary components given below for central government employees.

The minimum total salary for this position is Rs. 28638, which is made up of a basic salary of Rs. 18000, a dearness allowance of Rs. 7560 (42% of the basic salary), a house rent allowance of Rs. 1800 (9% of the basic salary), and a transport allowance of Rs. 1278 for Y class.
