If you want to apply for class 1 admission to a Kendriya Vidyalaya, you must make sure that your child is between the ages of 6 to 8 years. This means that the child must be 6 years old on or before 31st March of the year of application for admission. The maximum age limit for admission is 8 years.

You can also download the admission form online and fill it out at the earliest. Remember that the last date for submission of admission forms is likely to be 18 or 20 days after the release of the admission schedule.
The enrollment process at Kendriya Vidyalayas is easy and direct. The Central Government’s reservation policy has been followed to the letter in all Kendriya Vidyalaya schools for the admission of grade 1. 15%, 7.5%, and 27% of the available places are respectively reserved for the three major categories of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL). Moreover, in keeping with the provisions of the RTE Act, 2009, 3% of the total accessible spots for fresh entry will be horizontally reserved for Different Abled-children.
