Expected Cabinet Approval for 4% DA Hike starting Jan 2023 for Central Govt Employees
The Union Cabinet Committee today approved a 4% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for Central Government employees, pensioners, and family pensioners, with effect from January 1, 2023. This will result in a total of 42% DA for Central Government employees and 42% Dearness Relief (DR) for Central Government Pensioners and Family Pensioners from January 1, 2023.
The calculations for DA in January 2023 have concluded, with the sixth and final calculation since the issuance of AIPCIN for December 2022 being completed. As of now, Central Government employees, pensioners, and family pensioners receive 38% of their basic salary/pension as DA and DR every month. Upon approval by the Union Cabinet, the revised DA/DR will be paid as per the Finance Ministry’s orders. Stay tuned for updates on the expected approval of 4% DA hike from January 2023.
